SouthRegional Groups Include: SHARED QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES:
The Mississippi Quality Management Group is comprised of the Ryan White-funded Part B, C and D grantees throughout Mississippi. The group meets quarterly to increase members’ knowledge and skills in Quality Management and Quality Improvement and to share their quality work. Based on low baseline cervical cancer screening rates, the group decided to engage in a joint effort to improve HIV+ women’s health with the initial focus on increasing annual pap tests. The following storyboards demonstrate the impact of some of the members’ efforts: Delta Regional Medical Center, Magnolia Medical Center, and Southeast Mississippi Rural Health Initiative. Currently, these programs are working to sustain their improvements while others are continuing to make improvements. The members have also been committed to educating HIV+ women of the importance of getting annual screens to their overall health.
